The Chain/Sling Rotator is designed to rotate structural steel components through 360° about their longitudinal axis. Typical applications include H-beams, I-beams, box beams, steel box sections, columns, steel pipes, frames, welded structures, and fabricated assemblies during cutting, welding, fitting, inspection, and assembly operations. The system utilizes a continuous heavy-duty chain or sling loop, driven by motorized rollers, to securely grip and smoothly rotate the workpiece in a safe, controlled manner. The Rotator also allows vertical adjustment of the workpiece position (up and down) and precise angular positioning, improving accessibility and overall shop productivity. Rotation can be performed in either the clockwise or counterclockwise direction using a wireless remote control. Variable-speed operation provides smooth, accurate, and precise positioning of the workpiece. The Rotator is available in three lifting capacities: 5 MT, 10 MT, & 20 MT
Chain or Sling Selection: For unfinished or unpainted workpieces, a steel chain is recommended. For painted, coated, or finished surfaces requiring protection, a rope sling is recommended due to its softer contact surface. When using rope slings, all corners and sharp edges must be adequately protected to prevent rope damage.
Safety Features: The Rotator incorporates multiple safety features, including overload protection and emergency stop functions, to help prevent accidents and ensure safe operation. These features protect both personnel and equipment while maintaining reliable performance in demanding fabrication environments.
