Irizar Heavy Industries Inc., based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, designs, manufactures, and supplies welding manipulators. They are used for automated SAW / MIG / FACAW / TIG welding on pipe, tank and pressure vessels combined with Tank Turning Rolls, Welding Positioners or Head & Tailstock Positioners. Irizar manipulators mainly comprise a column, boom and motorized trolley (travelling car). We supply the manipulator itself loaded with power source, welding head, welding controller, flux recovery system, motorized cross slide & seam tracker. Welding Manipulators are also known as Welding Booms, Welding Columns or Welding Column and Booms (C&B)

Our welding manipulators are available from stock in capacities ranging from 3 m x 3 m to 9 m x 6 m (effective column vertical stroke x effective boom horizontal stroke)

Notes

1. The Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and the Procedure Qualifications Records (PQR) must be qualified by the user, considering the applicable Codes and Standards. It should be designed by a welding engineer who selects the essential welding parameters such as joint design, base material, wall thickness range, filler metal, position, pre-heating temp, flux, amperes, voltage, welding speed, etc. The user is responsible for certifying WPS & PQR before deploying the equipment at the job site.

2. The Welder Qualification Test (WQT) remains the user’s responsibility. It is not Irizar's scope to train submerged arc operators; the user shall have/hire an experienced welder’s operator(s) with an updated WQT ticket(s).

3. NOT included in our supply are the mounting brackets for the welding head, welding controller, and wire reel since there are many possible configurations. Users should decide what is best suited for their project.
