Tank Repair & Modifications / Alterations

Experience:

Irizar Tank Jacking has been used for the construction of over five thousand API-620 & API-650 field-erected tanks. Used worldwide on oil refineries, petrochemical plants, fertilizer plants, power generating stations, petroleum product installations & depots, and liquid storage terminals at ports. Max lifting weight up to 2,650 MT.

Key Features:

  • Construction Procedure: Tank erection occurs from the top course downwards.
  • Efficient: Reduce the overall tank manufacturing time
  • Cost-Effective: Expensive large cranes are no longer required
  • Minimum use of scaffolding is needed
  • Workplace Safer: Assembling and welding at ground level
  • Erection Safe: Even during power pack failure, electrical power shutdown, or hose eruption. The tank is held in place and does not slip
  • Flexible: Equipment can be split for erection of smaller tanks or expanded to build larger tanks
  • Temperature: Reliable at minus 30 Celsius degrees
  • Application: a) Tank construction, b) Dismantling tanks, c) Replacing annular plate or foundation repair, d) Expanding tank capacity by means of adding extra shell in the bottom.

Service:

  • Jack Selection Software:  For the selection of jack model and number of jacks per tank, Irizar Heavy Industries Inc. has developed a sophisticated and unique software which assures the lifting jacking system will withstand tank load, snow load, wind load, and seismic load for a specific construction site. The following factors are considered: 1) Tank Diameter (m), 2) Tank Height (m), 3) Tank Weight (MT) not including bottom shell or base plate, 4) Number of roof column(s) support (if applicable) & roof weight, 5) Construction Site, 6) Snow Load (MT), 7) 3-second gust Wind Speed (km/hr). In accordance with ASCE 7-10 or the National Building Code, 8) Seismic Geometric Data from USGS or National Building Code.
